This 1 day course lays the foundation for all future BTS Defensive Pistol training. This course is designed for those who have some shooting experience and want to apply for their Colorado CCW permit or those that have their Colorado CCW and wish to have additional instruction and improve shooting skills. It was developed to allow students to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and understand the responsibility of carrying and using a concealed firearm in self-defense situations.

• Firearm Safety
• Pistol Basics
• Ethical Considerations
• Overview of Colorado Law
• Holsters, carry positions and Concealment
• Drawing and firing from Concealment
• Mindset, Responding to an Attack and the Aftermath

This course is broken up into two configurations. While we recommend participating in both the classroom and shooting instruction, participants can choose to attend just the 4-hour classroom portion, or register for the full course which includes the 4-5 hours classroom and practical defensive shooting instruction conducted at a firing range. You can select these options when you register.
