This is an advanced shooting course specifically designed for those seeking to master real-world defensive skills. All Advanced Defensive Shooting Class activities take place on the range, requiring participants to demonstrate proficiency under demanding conditions. Eligibility for enrollment is limited to individuals who have completed the CCW Colorado's Concealed Carry classes, or equivalent courses with a robust live-fire component.

This intensive one day course is structured to develop participants’ ability to recognize active threats and respond rapidly and decisively in high-stress, self-defense situations. The curriculum focuses on advanced gunfighting tactics, defensive movement techniques, and sophisticated shooting methods. To participate, students MUST possess a current Colorado CCW permit, as all live-fire exercises are conducted from concealment. The training delivers advanced defensive skills and situational awareness, preparing you for unpredictable real-life encounters in a safe and controlled environment.

The training begins with a thorough one-hour review of firearm and range safety protocols, followed by challenging live-fire drills at an outdoor range. Participants must be prepared for the physical and mental demands of this course, including dressing appropriately for varying weather conditions. Essential attire includes a hat, durable pants, a closed-collared shirt, and sturdy boots or closed-toe shoes.

Required Equipment:

• Eye protection

• Electronic hearing protection

• Personal, unloaded firearms

• A minimum of 3 unloaded magazines

• Personal concealment holster

• 2 belt-mounted magazine holders

• 800–1000 rounds of range ammunition

Due to the advanced nature and complexity of the training, class size is strictly limited to 6 participants. All attendees must possess a current Colorado CHP, as every live-fire drill is conducted from concealment. This course is designed for those committed to mastering the most demanding and realistic defensive shooting skills available.
